Exploring the possibilities between ambient music, sound design and futuristic soundscapes, the French producer with Congolese origins Deeven presents his most energetic and fulfilling work: A cinematic post-club composition with cyberpunk and alien-ish motives.

Parametrix is the soundtrack behind a journey to a futuristic environment where a possibility between life and technology is yet to explore. It’s also the sound of the connection that tides our tangled possibilities with an ancient past and a virtual present: the sound of the matrix-god creating new (simulated) realities.

Filled with layers of overwhelming harmonies, forceful robotic voices and a line of drums that carries a heavy narrative weight, ‘Parametrix’ is a composition that creates moments of immersive states. The powerfull ambivalence of Parametrix creates experiences where you can find yourself immersed by the synesthesia of the sounds. “Sound and images are inseparable for me”, Deeven says, actually, Parametrix required a special cinematic audio treatment in order to endow this multisensory property.

Joining this cybernetic journey, the remixes that accompany this release have, in its majority, a more dancefloor friendly take: Either from the hard drum approaches from Flood representatives Syn and Tension, to the powerful synths provided by Kelvin T and the defragmented re-orientation of Bilej Kluk.

The energetic club versions of Zurvolt, Montblanko and Pájaro Sin Alas contrast with a mostly break-ish remix of Kuthi Jinani and an 8-minute ambient version from Tsundr. All of them providing an authentic approach in which ‘Parametrix’ can be read.
